Residential & House Movers in Farmers Branch | Senior Moving Company

Whole-house moves handled by our in-house crew, from a 1960s ranch to a six-bedroom climbing a sloped Preston Hollow drive

Emptying an entire house is nothing like clearing a lone bedroom, so we crew it for the larger task. A typical Farmers Branch home holds more than meets the eye: a loft that has quietly absorbed boxes for twenty years, a garage where bikes and lawn gear hang from every hook, a closet stuffed to its edges. Quite a few are original 1960s ranches whose first families are downsizing for the first time, and that is why the team arriving at your door is built to clear the whole house in one steady run instead of stretching it into a second day.

Quilts, wardrobe boxes, and the manpower to wield them ride along on our trucks. Beds are taken apart and reassembled, the washer and the fridge are unhooked and slid into protective bags, and the genuine heavyweights, a curio cabinet, an armoire, a sectional, a gun safe, move on four-wheelers so no back is strained and no surface scarred. Every item is padded as it stands in its own room, well before it turns for the exit. That step-by-step rhythm is precisely what makes the far-end unload quick and orderly.

Around here, no two houses act the same. A single-story ranch on Senlac Drive is one kind of job; a two-story in master-planned Coppell, where the HOA sets its own move rules, is a second; a house climbing a sloped Preston Hollow drive is a third puzzle altogether. So the job gets a walk-through before the date, runners go down across the floors, the doorframes are padded at each location, and through the hot stretch the heavy items load early with a cooler running, keeping a 100-degree afternoon from ever stalling the carry or dropping a mover.

What Farmers Branch Neighbors Say

Brookhaven · Yelp
★★★★

“We needed to get Mom out of her Brookhaven two-story and into a single-level patio home, and I was dreading it. The crew took the stairs slow with her hutch and never made her feel rushed. They showed up about half an hour past the window, which threw my morning off a bit, but they called ahead to tell me and made up the time. Would use them again.”

Mercer Crossing · Google
★★★★★

“Brenda walked through Mom's place herself before we ever signed anything, and that put my wife at ease right away. Moving Mom into the retirement community off Mercer Crossing went smooth, the crew had the elevator reserved and everything labeled by room. Honestly the easiest part of a hard month.”

the Historical Park area · Google
★★★★★

“After Dad passed we had to clear out his house near the Historical Park, and I cannot say enough good things. Tanya and her guys were patient with all of us. They helped us set aside the things going to family, boxed up donations separately, and never made the day feel like a job they wanted to rush through. Took two of my brothers and me a week to even decide what to keep, and they worked around all of it. Five stars and then some.”

Service FAQ

How big a crew comes out for a house?

That depends on the home's size and how full it is, but the team is always set to finish in a single day. A three-bedroom commonly needs three or four people; bigger homes warrant more, which spares you the cost of a small crew grinding through it slowly.

Will you disconnect the washer and refrigerator?

We take care of it. On move-day morning the fridge, washer, and dryer are unplugged and bagged. Where a gas line or a wired-in hookup is in play, we point that out ahead of time and bring a licensed technician to disconnect it before the appliance goes aboard.

What keeps the walls and floors free of scuffs?

Runners cover the wood and tile, padding wraps the handrail and the door casings, and soft furnishings get shrink-wrapped. All of that protection is folded into your quote and is never tacked on as a surprise at the end.

Can you serve a house up a steep or narrow driveway?

Often. Steep North Dallas drives, tight Carrollton lots, and gated Las Colinas properties are everyday work for the crew. The approach gets scouted ahead, the right truck comes out, and when a piece simply will not clear a corner, it leaves by a patio slider, a balcony, or another opening.

What if rough weather rolls in that day?

Conditions shift quickly here, and spring brings the worst of it, severe hail, thunderstorms, and a tornado threat. We keep an eye on the forecast, plan against the heat, and keep your belongings dry. When a genuine hazard appears, a pounding hailstorm or a tornado warning, we reschedule together rather than send a crew out into it.
